New President for the Secrétariat à la jeunesse
Edmundston, NB - Members of the Secrétariat à la jeunesse d’Edmundston are proud to announce the appointment of Jason Guerrette as President. In his new role, he will accompany the Development Officer and members in the execution of the organization's projects and initiatives.
Originally from Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, following the completion of his high school diploma, the singer-songwriter began studying classical singing at the Université de Moncton. In addition to his classical studies, Jason Guerrette has distinguished himself in the popular music industry in New Brunswick and Quebec.
In 2012, Jason Guerrette had the chance to be selected to live the adventure of Star Academy. In addition to being one of the four male finalists, he stood out with his performances with Johnny Hallyday, Celine Dion, and Eric Lapointe.
Founding member of the electro Spoutnique group, Jason also participated in the project "L'Acadie, un pays qui se raconte", which allowed him to participate in a tour of several shows, in France.
Back in Madawaska, he is president of Productions 11 inc., A company that organizes several shows annually, including the Ploye Show. Active on the music scene at Madawaska, Jason Guerrette will also direct a show to be presented during Les Editions 2018 in Edmundston.
Martine Marchand, Development Officer at the Secrétariat à la jeunesse d’Edmundston, says members are excited about the ambition and dedication of their new president.
"After almost ten years outside of the region, I came back to the area because I want to make a difference in my community. I believe the Secrétariat à la jeunesse d’EdmundstonE gives a voice to youth and as President, I am committed to advocating for the youth of our community. My door will always be open to new ideas. To make a return on the mandate of the Secrétariat à la jeunesse d’Edmundston, it states that through its openness and its accessibility, aims to bring together young people around projects that will enrich Edmundston of his successor. His vision is to propel Edmundston to the list of cities popular with young people to settle, get involved, work, do business and be entertained.
